Feeding Matters has been a huge supporter of our business and my family. Happy Passover from our family to yours. This is a very enjoyable time for all of us to reflect on the story of Passover, where the Jews fled from Egyptian slavery and started a new beginning. It is a time for families, both Jews & non Jews, to gather, enjoy each other's company, laugh, smile and enjoy life! While not all of us will go through all of the steps in reading the Haggadah and going through all 15 steps of a Seder, it's still a time to be thankful for what we have today and remember those who sacrificed to allow us to be here today.

It's that time of year again... The holiday feast planning begins! One of our favorite times of the year for sure to spend quality time with family and friends. The stressful part can be all of the cooking, cleaning and lack of relaxation time that we typically don't get because we are too busy entertaining everyone and we are literally running around from dawn to dusk.

That's where Miracle Mile can come in and assist you with your meals! While we cannot cook the "whole bird" for you, if you don't need to cook for the family on Thanksgiving, you can enjoy our individual Turkey Dinners ($14 per plate), 7 nights a week after 4pm. We will not be open on Thanksgiving Day, but you can stop by the day before, pick up a turkey dinner, throw it in the fridge and enjoy on "Turkey Day"! The Turkey Dinner comes with over 1/3 pound of fresh turkey (your choice of white or dark meat) with mashed potatoes & gravy, homemade stuffing, cranberry sauce & bread and butter.

If you don't need help with the turkey, but don't want to do the mashed potatoes, gravy, salads or sides, we can do that easily for you as well! Just give us a call, let us know what you are needing assistance with and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Exciting Changes at Miracle Mile Deli!

2015 has been an exciting year for Miracle Mile Deli. We have moved from the Camelback Colonnade location to our first ground up free-standing Miracle Mile at 4433 N. 16th Street at Campbell, just 2 blocks south of Camelback Road. It has been amazing to see all of our customers joining us at the new location and so many new faces as well. Our entire staff has made the transition and we are working hard to make it as seamless as possible.

We have some new features and items at our new location including four craft beers on draft, made from scratch ice cream milk shakes, digital menu boards, a take-out window for lunch and our new online ordering system.

We also have a brand new awesome website thanks to the talented team at OCG Creative. They assisted us with updating all of the content, reorganizing the user interface and performed some techno-wizard magic to make it fast, easy and optimized for the mobile experience. You can see all of our menus (and most of our sandwiches and entrees) and order food to go right from your Smartphone or computer. We think you’ll love it and it’s just one of the many new things you can come to expect in the future for Miracle Mile Deli. More exciting things are happening on October 21st when Miracle Mile will be OPENING FOR BREAKFAST! We are taking a unique spectrum on some breakfast classics with signature items like Egg-Sparagus French Toast ( a thick cut slice of challah french toast and maple syrup topped with six slices of marinated asparagus, cheese and 2 poached eggs), Latkes Benedict (we took out the English muffins and replaced them with our own homemade potato pancakes) & our incredibly delicious Cinnamon Roll Pancakes… I will let your imagination run wild on that one!

Breakfast hours will be Monday - Friday, 7am - 10am. Saturday & Sunday from 7am - 11am. This is a very exciting venture for our company and we are looking forward to having the opportunity to serve another delicious meal to the community and give people yet another reason to visit our establishment. As if that wasn't enough… we have MORE NEWS! Miracle Mile will be moving in the Spring of 2015 to our new trademark location on 16th St. & Campbell. We are hoping to be at our new location at 4433 N. 16th Street in Phoenix sometime in March or April! This new home for us is going to allow us to rebrand our identity in the Valley and allow our customers to experience new things at Miracle Mile like homemade pies a la mode, real ice cream milkshakes, fresh micro brews & great wines on tap! Of course we will still have all of your Miracle Mile favorites (don't worry, the food isn't changing)! We will keep you updated on construction as new things happen! The Miracle Mile Family would like to thank the Valley community for all of their love and support over the last few weeks. As most of you know by now, we recently closed our Scottsdale Promenade location on June 27th. It was a VERY difficult business decision….but for the betterment of our company's future, it was the right decision to make. We will definitely miss all of our loyal patrons and serving the Scottsdale community. Over the last 5 years, we have had the opportunity to build so many great relationships with customers, families and companies. We are so thankful to everyone that allowed us to succeed in that particular location and look forward to serving you again soon. The community embraced us with "arms wide open" and we are so grateful that our family was accepted into yours. We are still have our Phoenix location at the Camelback Colonnade on 20th St. & Camelback! So if you still need to satisfy that craving, we are still able to take care of that for you.

Since our closing of the Scottsdale location, a couple of local publications have reached out to us and shared the news with the Valley. We would like to thank The New Times ChowBella Blog and AZCentral for reaching out to us and sharing our news with the community. We do have some exciting ventures in our future, and look forward to sharing more exciting news with you all when the time is right!

Several people have asked, "WHY did you close the Scottsdale location?" As stated on our Facebook page, we have some other business opportunities that have presented themselves to our company. Nothing can be truly discussed publicly yet, but in order to move forward with these new opportunities, we unfortunately had to cut ties with the Scottsdale location in order to focus on the new direction that our company is headed towards. I know we made the right business decision for our company, however it was a very difficult decision to make because I knew how many customers and families would be effected by the decision. We have had several people comment on our Facebook Page and on various social media sights about our closing of the Scottsdale location and expressing their disappointment. Trust me, the feeling is mutual! But with focusing on the future and the new direction our company is headed in, it will all makes sense soon.

We are fortunate enough to have the ability to keep several of our phenomenal employees that many became accustomed to seeing at the Scottsdale location. Chefs Greg & Martin, Jesus, Tomas & the Scottsdale GM, Roger, will all be moving with us to our Phoenix location at the Camelback Colonnade! Feel free to stop by and pay them visit whenever you would like! Our employees become a part of our family, and I am so thankful that we have the opportunity to keep them on board and utilize their knowledge and resources for the betterment of our customers! ALL of these guys have been so loyal to our company and their service means the world to me and our company.

We have come a long way since this photo was taken over 30 years ago! Again, I am very proud to say that we are celebrating our 65th Year of business in the Valley… We just had a family of 3 generations in our establishment, and it is just such a touching moment for me to see other families carrying on the Miracle Mile tradition with their own.

We have been fortunate enough to be serving the Valley families for six decades, and with that has come a lot of tradition for families to bring their children and their children's children to our establishment to satisfy their craving for a great family meal. We are so fortunate to be a part of so many families lives, and it is always so great to hear about the fond memories that people have about our various locations that we have occupied.

Chris-Town is the location that I personally hear the most about. I remember being a kid myself, doing my homework on a pickle bucket behind the dessert case after school while my parents finished up their work for the day. When I got a little bit older, I came to work on Saturday mornings with my Mom and Dad at 7am, and worked with my Aunt Maria serving coffee to our breakfast diners! I felt really cool being at work because none of my other friends were able to do that on a weekly basis with their parents. In time, I got to help out on the Hot Dog grill serving hot dogs, making fresh hamburger patties and smashing in between two pieces of wax paper with massive china plates… THOSE WERE THE TIMES! I have very fond memories of Chris-Town and it was like a second home to me for several years of my childhood.

Now as a father myself, I get to share more memories with my children. I love it when they come to visit me at work because I remember going to visit my parents at work and how much I loved interacting with the other employees. My kids do the same thing and I love to see that. It's pretty fun to see how they interact at such a young age in an environment that they feel comfortable in… much like I did as a kid at Chris-Town.

BURGERS have become the "NEW CRAZE" in today's food world. Walk into almost ANY restaurant, and there is a burger of some sort on the menu. Some beef, some chicken, some homemade, some frozen, some veggies....all coming in different shapes and sizes. From sliders, to single patties, even double and triple patties, these burgers have become a crowd favorite in almost any food establishment.

Our Miracle Mile Family hasn't followed behind in this respect either. Since day one when my grandfather opened the first Miracle Mile in 1949, there was a simple hamburger on the menu. A freshly prepared ground beef patty with "you call it" toppings on it. Nowadays, you cannot simply put a burger on the menu and expect it to sell itself. You have to be creative with the cheese, condiments, sauces and breads. We revamped our burgers to stand out in this competitive marketplace, and hope you all have the opportunity to try them at some point in the near future.

Our Ellis Island Burger is to honor and respect my grandfather's first burger that he put on the menu. Tying back to our New York roots, the Ellis Island Burger gives you the option of loading up on your favorite cheese and condiments, creating a simple burger the way you want it. It may not be incredibly special to anyone else, but to you, it's done YOUR way!

The Broadway Burger is a step up from a simple Bacon Cheeseburger that we had on our menu before. Using a freshly prepared 1/3 pound ground beef chuck patty, we stack some melted cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, crisp bacon and our famous Miracle Mile Dressing! Served on a fresh Kaiser Roll with some hot french fries and a scrumptious pickle.... It truly does deserve a standing ovation as you would more than likely give a Broadway Show in NYC!

A different spin on a typical "burger" is our Bronx Chicken Sandwich. We take a simple four and half ounce chicken breast, melt freshly cut pepperjack cheese, add lettuce, tomato, red onion and grilled jalapeños, and throw some of our famous BBQ sauce on the top part of your bread of choice! It is a unique mix of flavors, some sweet and spicy.... but you gotta be tough like the Bronx to handle it! A great sandwich if you enjoy indulging in flavor.

Then we have a beast of a burger... The Empire State Burger (pictured in the photo)! Two 1/3 pound beef patties, melted cheddar on each patty, lettuce, tomato, crispy bacon, french fried onion strings and our famous Miracle Mile dressing create this behemoth of a burger.... It's hard to plate and keep standing sometimes because of the size and weight of the burger itself. Hungry??? This one should take care of your appetite quite quickly. Maybe we should create a "food challenge" starting with this burger! What do you think?

We just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you who joined us at both Miracle Mile locations over the weekend for our famous St. Patrick's Weekend Corned Beef & Cabbage! All in all, it was a very successful weekend! We served over 5,000 pounds of our awesome corned beef and over 2,000 pounds of cabbage wedges! Fun was had by all...both employees and customers! We definitely wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support and making it another successful year for our Miracle Mile Family!

We sold a load of desserts too! Apparently Corned Beef & Cabbage must make people have a sweet tooth of some sort! We also sold over 50 slices of our Homemade Bread Pudding, 4 Whole Lemon Meringue Pies, 3 Whole Apple Pies, 2 Whole Cherry Pies, 3 Whole Chocolate Fudge Cakes, 3 Whole Carrot Cakes and 4 Whole New York Style Cheesecakes! We couldn't keep up with the amount of volume of desserts, so we allocated one employee to just cut fresh desserts all day and all night long! It was awesome to say the least! Miracle Mile served over 5,000 people last weekend! Doesn't sound like much but that is ALOT of people going through our establishments and truly appreciate every single one of you!

Sometimes in life, unfortunate things suddenly happen to us where we have to take a step back and focus on what is TRULY important in our lives. Last week, a close friend of the Miracle Mile Family, John Poston, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. John is 29 years old and it is very rare for this disease to occur in people under the age of 40. John was a basketball and track star in high school, has an awesome 7 year old boy named Zach, and will be getting married to the love of his life in February. He has a heart of pure gold with a great sense of humor, even with him enduring this unplanned hardship.

John's incredible sister, Tiffany, is Miss Scottsdale 2012 and a great friend of the Miracle Mile Family. She started a blog for John, FightForJohn.org, to update friends and family on John's daily undertakings as well as to assist with making donations to help make this medical diagnosis a lesser financial burden on the family. To help John and his family even more, Miracle Mile will be hosting a fundraiser for John at BOTH of our locations (at Camelback Colonnade and the Scottsdale Promenade) on Thursday, August 9th, from 11am-8pm. I have tremendous respect for John and being such an amazing positive role model for his entire family. He has been a true source of inspiration (now dealing with chemotherapy on a daily basis) and we are so fortunate to be able to help and support John during his time
of need. Me being a father of two and the same age as John, I cannot imagine what he and his family have endured both physically and emotionally over the last week.
